"Youth" is the third single off of Shawn Mendes' self-titled album and his first collaboration with breakout R&B sensation Khalid. In an interview, Shawn spoke about the importance of the song and its lyrics: 'It's the most important song on the album... I wanted to write something but it had to be about the feeling for us as a generation when [a tragedy] happens. So I wrote a song about our youth, a feeling that can't be taken away from us.'
